She’s basically willing to fight over the silver crystal to ensure…no one else fights over the silver crystal.

It’s totally illogical, but to a lesser extent, that’s also a contradiction Mako herself embodies. She doesn’t like fighting, but she’s damn good at it. And so she fights to defend others and ensure peace. Fighting for peace is a contradiction in itself. And Mako’s counterpart takes that even father.
